Cranfield University, Tacit Sims and BBSRC funded workshops 22nd September 2016

Cranfield University and Tacit Sims will co-host an ‘Exploring Innovation Seminar & Interactive IP Workshop’ on the 22nd September 2016 at Cranfield University for BBSRC funded projects and other interested innovators.

The Cranfield University Research and Innovation Office was recently awarded a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) Exploring Innovation fund. This seminar, sponsored by the BBSRC, aims to equip individuals with the information they need to ensure that their research and capabilities are able to achieve the widest benefit to both society and the economy. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the process of IP commercialisation and its impact, the knowledge exchange and commercialisation spectrum, and the processes involved in the translation of research outcomes. Following the seminar, Tacit Sims will will host an interactive, software based experiential IP/tech transfer simulation – IPSim.  Tacit Sims is based in the Cranfield University Business Incubation Centre and is an excellent example of how the University engages in knowledge exchange and technology transfer activities. This event is aimed at Cranfield University staff and also companies that are interested in collaborating with Cranfield University.
