Tacit Sims and WP Thompson LLP hosted an IPSim competition on the 21st June 2016 at Cranfield University’s Research and Innovation Office (RIO). The competition was really well attended and the prizes of an iPad mini 2 and £600 of advice and support from WP Thompson LLP were won by the winning team of Killian Gilbert (Entrepreneur) and Hanne Bellhausen (Cranfield University MSc student).
The afternoon kicked off with a briefing on IP from Dr Wesley Randle of Tacit Fusion and Kerry Rees from WP Thompson LLP and then moved in to the first IPSim game sessions (8 teams of 2 or 3 people).
The stakes increased after the final IP briefing on IP negotiation, due diligence and valuation and the teams then moved into competition mode!
Attendees from Cranfield were wide and varied with registrants from Nottingham University and London, Cranfield Research and innovation Office and Cranfield University academics from the School of Management as well as MSc students from Applied Sciences, Management, Aerospace, Engineering, Biomedicine and entrepreneurs and CEO’s from company’s in the Cranfield Incubation Centre such as Halo Coffee.
